Apartment Maintenance Jobs

Unexpectedly Kind & Unapologetically Driven

Seeking Skilled Team-Players

Put your experience to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment that fosters teamwork, provides training, and offers stable, year-round employment. We also provide extra pay for the 10-ish weeks you’ll be “on-call” each year.

Our residents love their maintenance technicians! Join us in our mission of providing customer service that exceeds their expectations.

What To Expect as a Maintenance Technician at SBA

You’ll enjoy stable, year-round work with a consistent schedule that isn’t weather dependent. The unexpected is expected in property management, but this position offers a nice balance between daily routine and saving the day.

Everyone on the team brings a different skill set, and there’s always something new to learn. You’ll be a resource for the team while also gaining experience and skills from the knowledge of others.

You’ll have a “home base” team but will also provide or receive support via the facilities team on any given day. Your supervisor will be right there, working alongside you, and our recognition programs will remind you just how valued you are!

“Wow, there are so many things that SBA gets right, but it’s the fun and friendly environment that I like best. Here you get to talk to the CEO/CFO when you see them, not like other big companies where you don’t ever get to see them or speak to the executives. It’s a very professional environment but with down-to-earth people.”

How You’ll Spend Your Day

This position is responsible for ensuring that all facilities procedures and requests – especially those that directly impact our customer’s experience – are executed efficiently and in a hassle-free manner.

Your responsibilities will fall into three areas:

  • Customer Service and Professionalism: SBA places a high value on exceeding customer expectations, building relationships, friendliness, and maintaining high standards of living.
  • Safety: You’ll work with chemicals, drive vehicles, climb ladders, use power tools, and more in this position. Safety needs to remain top of mind, and you must stay compliant with all local, state, and federal safety laws and regulations.
  • Building Maintenance and Work Orders: You’ll  feel ownership in the upkeep of our properties. This includes routine, preventative, or emergency maintenance – inside and out – along with inspections, rehabilitation, remodeling, and snow removal at some locations.
