Steve Brown Apartments began developing in the late 90s as a way to give back to our community by creating beautiful, quality buildings that stand the test of time, and since then, approximately 40% of our portfolio has been developed directly by us in partnership with award-winning architects, designers, and general contractors.
As a developer, Steve Brown Apartments specializes in both student and market-rate multifamily properties, leveraging decades of experience to secure project financing and oversee the design, construction, and delivery of signature housing developments in the Madison area.
This downtown Madison multifamily project opened in August 2013. Keystone is a four story, 118,000 square foot building that’s clad in brick and stone. The community’s unit mix ranges from 1-bedroom apartments to 2-bedroom townhouse style apartments; there are 64 units and 98 beds, plus two stories of underground parking.

With Brownpoint Reserve, Steve Brown Apartments has once again raised the bar and taken the lead in Madison’s West Side multifamily market. Officially open in June of 2017, this 92 unit and 153 bed project offers the largest and most luxuriously appointed one, two and three bedroom units available. Clad in stone and dark siding it strikes an impressive form at four stories and more than 200,000 sq. ft.
