What is SBA Gives?
Steve Brown Apartments believes in helping the communities and the residents we serve and encourages our employees to do the same. Since 2019, we have raised over $21,000 through our Home Is Where The Heart Is annual giving campaign. Each year we choose a local organization that does not have a large fundraising event and focuses on housing solutions in our community. We challenge our staff, residents and the community to help us achieve this goal.
Who is Porchlight?
This year we are raising funds for Porchlight. Their Mission – Porchlight strives to reduce homelessness in Dane County by collaborating with the community to provide shelter, affordable housing, and supportive services that eliminate barriers and empower the individuals and families they serve.
Their Vision – Porchlight envisions a community without homelessness. In keeping with our mission and values, we create innovative solutions, vibrant partnerships, and opportunities for those we serve.
Ways to Give
- Monetary Donations – donations support Porchlight’s mission and are used to provide affordable housing with supportive case management services, men’s emergency shelter, eviction prevention, outreach, and employment and training.
- Donate Items – Porchlight relies on donations to meet the needs of their shelter guests and residents. Donated items play a very important role in ongoing stability for the clients they serve.
Donations can be dropped off at our Main Office (120 W. Gorham St.) Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. We will be collecting donations until Friday, February 25th.
