Our local profile is a tasty treat – Ian’s Pizza. If you haven’t heard of this amazing pizzeria, here’s an interview with Zach Chapman of Ian’s Pizza to provide you with a little background.
Q: Give us a little history of Ian’s Pizza.
Ian’s Pizza opened its first location in Madison, WI on October 31, 2001 at 319 N Frances Street. In 2005, our State Street location opened. Since then the brand has grown to 6 locations: two in Madison, two in Milwaukee, one in Denver, CO, and one in Seattle, WA.
Q: What makes you such a special pizza place?
We specialize in pizza by the slice. Our claim to fame is mastering the recipe for Mac n’ Cheese Pizza.
We have around two-dozen different varieties of pizza, ranging from Smoked Brisket and Tots to Buffalo Chicken with Bleu Cheese.
We have a team of food “masterminds” that showcase their new recipes in our weekly special slices and seasonal slices. We only serve top quality food and continue to push the boundaries of culinary exploration.
At Ian’s Pizza on State we also work closely with local farmers and the farmers market to offer one of the best, and unique salad stations around. Almost everything we offer is prepared fresh daily in store including several delicious salad dressings and 20 local ingredients.
Q: Why do people love Ian’s?
Our customers seem to really enjoy the creative, tasty, and fresh pizza and salads! Our customers always mention that they love our employees because we really do care about making sure each visit is a special one. Our customers also really appreciate the fact that taking care of our community is, and always has been, a top priority.
Q: What do you love about Madison – and why is Ian’s a great fit for Madtown?
What’s not to love about Madison? We have such a great culture that really appreciates anything and everything local. We have a great music scene, there’s always something to do, and we have the best university in the country.
